Western Australia Innovation and Digital Economy minister Stephen Dawson will take on the Science portfolio in Premier Roger Cook’s new Cabinet.
Announced on Wednesday, Mr Dawson will add Minister for Science to his list of responsibilities, as well as Minister Assisting the Minister for State and Industry Development, Jobs, and Trade.
He is now the Western Australian minister with responsibility for the most portfolios, tied with the Premier and Minister Don Punch. Mr Dawson was already Minister for Innovation and Digital Economy, for Emergency Services, and for Medical Research.
