Space is back on Australia’s agenda but what will it take for us to advance our place in the stars. Australia has had a rich history of space exploration and development, and with a lull in activity from 1980 until recently, the industry is again flourishing with new players, technologies, and ideas. Australia’s early participation in the Artemis Project, the establishment of the Australian Space Agency, and the recent milestones of the Australian Square Kilometre Array Regional Centre (AusSRC) and launch of the SKA Observatory provides momentum and focus for the sector. InnovationAus will talk to Indigenous astronomer and freelance science communicator Karlie Noon and AusSRC Director Karen Lee-Waddell about their pathway to the stars.
