Transport for NSW’s (TfNSW’s) chief technology and innovation officer, Kurt Brissett has departed the agency after 9 years to join property developer Built as its chief digital and information officer.

Mr Brissett led TfNSW through digital transformation projects that focused on connected end-to-end journeys across NSW.

His near decade in transportation tech included the Opal rollout and expansion, the Southern hemisphere’s first transit contactless payments system, the world’s first fully integrated revenue protection app, and Australia’s first frictionless Apple and Samsung express transit solution.

Mr Brissett moves to Built, a ‘digital-first’ tier one building contractor and developer, that he said is “passionate about harnessing technology and innovation to forge new, more collaborative ways of working with their clients, government, design teams, industry, and trade partners”.
