Australia’s innovation struggles are an intergenerational risk akin to the climate crisis, according to software powerhouse TechnologyOne, which on Thursday mapped out a “Team Australia” plan to fix it.
A report commissioned by the ASX-listed company for the government’s R&D review calls for a 10-year bi-partisan strategy for innovation and industry growth.
It would be led by the Prime Minister or Treasurer and channel most support to just six priority sectors, including ICT, with the sector’s leaders to anchor a network of innovation clusters around the country.
