Startups and precincts share $9.5m in Qld innovation grants

The Queensland government has awarded almost $10 million to innovative small to medium sized businesses to bring products to market as well as to support innovation precincts.

On Friday, the state announced the 13 precincts and ‘places’ had been supported through the Innovation Precincts and Places Fund, while 56 SME were funded through Queensland’s Ignite programs.

Under the inaugural round of the Innovation Precincts and Places fund, a total of $4 million was committed. Over three years, the fund is expected to invest up to $15 million.
