Senate demands more PsiQuantum details

The Senate is demanding Industry minister Ed Husic hand over more details about the process that led to a $1 billion public investment in PsiQuantum, including the US firm’s unsolicited proposal to government two years ago.

The minister has also been asked to table non-disclosure agreements with the company, agreed technology milestones and how the government assessed alternatives last year.

The Albanese government has repeatedly defended the deal, insisting it followed extensive probity and commercial assessments, with Mr Husic previously saying he would welcome scrutiny.
