SAP’s $1bn govt-wide deal extended again amid DTA negotiations

The Digital Transformation Agency has extended the federal government’s SAP licensing arrangement for another six months, giving it more time to renegotiate the deal with the German software giant.

The extension – the third in less than 18 months – comes as the value of the arrangement surpasses $960 million, with more than $130 million worth of SAP contracts signed across government last year.

The SAP arrangement, which had been slated to expire at the end of December, covers software and support services, as well as cloud services and other digital business services offered by the company.
