Salesforce costs hit $140 million at NDIS

The cost of the National Disability Insurance Scheme’s customer relationship management system has surpassed $140 million, climbing higher even as the Salesforce project was examined by Parliament.

Cloud software and platform expenditure for the system that has opened the door for scrutiny of other major tech suppliers in Canberra grew another $16.5 million in the six months to July, according to disclosures to the Senate.

The markup comes as the software giant scours its records for any gifts and hospitality provided to Commonwealth officials, after it emerged that the NDIA accepted thousands of dollars’ worth of gifts from Salesforce staff.
