South Australia’s research and innovation fund is under review for the first time in six years, with the state government looking to gauge whether it stacks up against programs being pursued by other states.
The review will assess the impact of the almost $56 million delivered through the fund to research organisations and startups working in industries like healthcare, manufacturing and energy.
Professor Göran Roos, an eminent Swedish academic and former Adelaide Thinker-in-Residence, is conducting the review, which began in late July. It is expected to be complete by early November, according to the South Australian tendering website.
