Stuart Robert met with the tech multinational that would go on to win a lucrative government contract on four occasions during the procurement process, without public servants or probity advisers present.
The meetings are outlined by Indian tech giant Infosys — which engaged controversial consulting firm Synergy 360 to help it win government work — in new evidence presented to the parliamentary inquiry into the procurement saga.
Infosys ultimately struggled to deliver the project – an ambitious upgrade known as the Entitlement Calculation Engine (ECE) that was scrapped last month – but was paid more than $100 million for it.
