Queensland is set to develop its own quantum strategy to capture a greater slice of the nascent sector expected to be worth $4.6 billion to the Australian economy by the end of the decade.
Premier Anastacia Palaszczuk on Thursday revealed the Quantum and Advanced Technologies Strategy is in the works to support the sector to commercialise research locally.
“This strategy will be developed in consultation with our universities and industry to build and attract advanced technology businesses providing highly skilled and paid jobs,” the Premier said at the National Tech Summit in Brisbane.
