NSW to get separate digital inclusion strategy

The New South Wales government will create a separate digital inclusion strategy to complement the state’s forthcoming digital strategy, with work now underway on a framework to help bridge the state’s digital divide.

In a discussion paper released earlier this week, the Department of Customer Services began calling for feedback to inform the first-ever strategy and the five “pillars” that are expected to underpin it.

The strategy, which is separate to the NSW digital strategy that has been in the works since late last year and will also place a focus on inclusion, will seek to address equity issues as the state moves ahead with its digital transformation.
