Further pilots of New South Wales’ decentralised digital identity system are “imminent”, with the state’s government service delivery agency expected to undertake at least one trial before the end of the year.
Representatives from Service NSW have revealed that final preparations for the resumption of trials are underway, ending any uncertainty about the program which has stalled over the last seven months.
As revealed by InnovationAus.com in September, no new trials of NSW Digital ID have been conducted since March, coinciding with the arrival of the Minns government, raising concerns about the status of the program.
