The New South Wales government guide for using artificial intelligence is being refreshed as more agencies implement the technology and user-friendly generative tools obscure the risks from public servants.
It comes as the state’s AI Review Committee passes a dozen assessments of high-value or high-risk AI projects in its first year, all of which needed changes to pass.
The screened projects stretch from health and emergency services to a facial matching project for Service NSW used to speed up working with children checks.
