Six months after turning off the tap to the startup community, the New South Wales government is set to restore the innovation grants program known as MVP Ventures, but will offer markedly less funding through the recast program over the next four years.
The popular program, which targets early-stage startups and small and medium-sized enterprises looking to commercialise their offerings, will reopen to new applications from December 4, with matched funding of up to $50,000 on offer.
A total of $3 million will be made available through the MVP Ventures each year until 2027, down from $10 million a year under the scheme run by the former Coalition government.
