The New South Wales government’s Digital Restart Fund is on track to run dry at the end of this financial year, after the Minns government chose not to top up the fund with new money in its cash-strapped 2023 Budget.
Budget documents, released on Tuesday, show no new funding for the Digital Restart Fund (DRF) this financial year, although around $140 million in un-allocated funding remains in the fund from previous years.
The government plans to release $66 million in centrally held funds to the DRF this financial year, but InnovationAus.com understands this will not add to the $140 million remaining in the fund.
