No federal work for PwC until at least December

Embattled consulting giant PwC has agreed not to bid on any new federal government work for at least seven months at the request of Department of Finance as the fallout from the tax leaks scandal continues.

Commonwealth agencies were advised of the mutual agreement between the Department of Finance and PwC in a procurement policy note on Tuesday, with only PwC Indigenous Consulting spared from the edict.

Finance – which is coordinating the government’s response to the scandal – said officials should not enter into any new contracts with PwC until at least until 1 December 2024 in recognition of the “significant number of outstanding investigations still underway”.
