The government’s clean energy investment coordinator and support body for workers affected by the energy transition has had its funding more than doubled over the forward estimates.

The Net Zero Economy Authority (NZEA) will “coordinate policy and deliver across government”, facilitating net zero investments in regional areas and supporting workers affected by the transition to a net zero economy.

The NZEA has been allocated $209.3 million over the next four years and is expected to receive $53.3 million per year on an ongoing basis.
