The National Disability Insurance Agency is still investigating its officials’ role in a $126 million Salesforce software contract after questions about the supplier’s influence on them and a “bizarre” decision to not weight pricing in bid evaluations.

The agency’s chief executive Rebecca Falkingham on Thursday confirmed NDIA officials are being scrutinised in an independent investigation expected to report “later this year”. She revealed for the first time that gifts and hospitality from the US software giant are a concern.

An independent inquiry was launched by the agency in June when Government Services minister Bill Shorten lobbed several allegations of impropriety in Parliament about the procurement, which awarded Salesforce a contract that has risen four-fold to $126 million.
