Missing Consumer Data Right roadmap creating ‘uncertainty’


A lack of visibility over the future direction of the Consumer Data Right is creating uncertainty, leading to renewed calls from industry for a long-promised roadmap to provide clarity for the scheme.

FinTech Australia, along with the global Financial Data and Technology Association (FDATA), on Monday urged Canberra to use some of the almost $90 million provided to the CDR in this month’s federal Budget to fund the roadmap.

It comes as the government pauses its expansion of the scheme into the superannuation, insurance and telecommunications sectors to ensure CDR is “working as effectively as possible”.
