Services Australia is ready to deliver personalised services to millions of Australians but can’t get around legislation preventing information sharing across government, the agency’s tech chief said Monday.
The wait on personalised services for myGov – the last outstanding feature of a $200 million overhaul that began in 2021 — comes as Services Australia is stuck in a year-long holding pattern on automation.
The myGov platform rebuild has long harboured ambitions to target individual users based on the services or information they need gleaned from their interactions with services that connect to the platform, like Centrelink or Medicare.
