Experts say the pace must increase and come with government investment if Australia is to reap the rewards of the technology.
Industry and Science minister Ed Husic on Wednesday declared the era of self-regulation of risky technologies is over but declined to put a timeline on Australia’s new AI rules, which will be a mix of external regulation and voluntary standards.
