Investment in renewable energy has skyrocketed in recent years, as the cost of clean energy technology continues to fall and traditional electricity generation methods move closer to end of life.
The sheer volume of investment has seen a growing number of innovative companies emerge to tackle the threat of climate change, be it through solar, hydrogen or other low emissions technology.
Public policy is also driving investment through the government commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 43 per cent below 2005 levels by 2030, and investment vehicles like the National Reconstruction Fund earmarking billions for technology and innovation that targets the net zero challenge.
This years’ finalists in the Energy and Renewables category showcase advances in hydrogen extraction technologies, solar cell improvements, management software systems and innovations in re-manufacturing.
The finalists in this category are:
- Innofocus
- Fleet Space Technologies
- ClearVue Technologies
- Green Gravity
The InnovationAus Awards for Excellence 2024 winners and finalists will be celebrated at a black-tie gala dinner at The Venue Alexandria in Sydney on Wednesday October 30. You can book your tickets here.
