The Industry department has inked a new $15 million deal with Macquarie Technology Group to supply its core telecommunications and secure internet gateway systems over the next three years, going directly to the Australian supplier through its longstanding panel arrangement.
The 11-year-old, single supplier panel arrangement has now netted Macquarie almost $200 million in contracts for the services, which let users inspect and block internet traffic.
The new contract values the telecommunications and internet gateway service at around $5 million annually, up from the $3.5 million under Macquarie’s previous contract with the department.
