Govt must rise to its Innovation Blueprint ambition

A new state plan for a decade of innovation in NSW has identified gaping holes in strategic industries, funding and talent, while floating ambitious policy options to close them. According to those in the sector, it’s what comes next that really matters.

Ahead of a June state Budget and amid global trade uncertainty, the sector is in lockstep that the Minns government must back up 18 months of consultation and design with lasting support and policy.

It also wants more details on the programs that the government says it will use to set up a decade of growth that moves the state from Australia’s leader to a genuine global powerhouse.
