The Net Zero Economy Agency should be responsible for implementing the federal government’s refreshed hydrogen strategy, the Australian Hydrogen Council (AHC) says.
The council said the new agency should be tasked with a regular program of modelling to support the growing hydrogen economy, as well as giving estimates for investment requirements for the sector.
The recommendation is at the top of the AHC’s self-described “comprehensive position paper”, which nominates 53 recommendations across four key themes: priorities, planning, and coordination, international engagement, infrastructure investment, and market development.
