A plan to share digital credentials across state boundaries is moving forward after a hiatus, with federal and NSW government service delivery agencies completing a “rapid discovery exercise” to scope the project.
The seven-week discovery, which took place earlier this year, comes as other states and territory governments line up for similar access agreements to bring digital credentials to their apps.
The federal and NSW governments were the first jurisdictions to announce plans to share credentials in February last year by bringing digital Medicare cards to the Service NSW app and digital driver’s licences to myGov.
