Melbourne-based C2 Robotics has successfully demonstrated the capabilities of its Speartooth Large Uncrewed Underwater Vessel at a two-week Department of Defence demonstration exercise, which featured participation from Australian and American companies.

Some of the capabilities demonstrated by C2’s Speartooth include the logistics systems for transporting and launching the vessel and its ability to deliver payloads autonomously with high accuracy.

The 2023 edition of the Royal Australian Navy’s Exercise Autonomous Warrior focused on “continuing to develop Australian Defence Force Robotic Autonomous Systems – Artificial Intelligence (RAS-AI) common control within the maritime domain,” a Defence spokesperson told InnovationAus.com.
