The Albanese government’s investment in artificial intelligence on Tuesday will be the benchmark for how seriously it supports the local tech sector, according to industry groups frustrated by the current emerging tech agenda.
“The Australian government is too focused on tech regulation at the expense of investment and adoption,” Australian Information Industry Association chief executive Simon Bush said.
“This Budget will be judged by the AIIA on whether it takes seriously investment in AI as important for Australia to grow every industry.”
