Aged care watchdog powers up $8m Pega platform

The national aged care watchdog has tapped Pegasystems for a new case management platform in anticipation of its expanded oversight of providers from 2025, awarding the US supplier more than $8 million for the build and licensing.

Earlier this month the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission disclosed a contract that will net Pegasystems almost $1 million a month until July next year, when the new rights based Aged Care Act is slated to come into force.

The generational reform includes an expanded role for the Commission, which is responsible for registering providers, assessing their compliance with standards and the code of conduct, resolving and reporting complaints.
