ADHA weighs insourcing for My Health Record

National digital health systems, including the country’s My Health Record, could be insourced from as early as next year as part of government-wide push to unseat consultants and contractors in Canberra.

The shift away from outsourcing is being contemplated by the Australian Digital Health Agency (ADHA) amid a multi-year upgrade of its systems to overcome long-standing health information sharing barriers.

In an approach to market released on Tuesday, the agency called for independent advice to be developed on the move to insourcing for “internal development and operations of digital health products and services”.
