Independent senator David Pocock would throw his weight behind lifting R&D investment, startup support and responsible innovation in a second term, saying politicians need to do more to back local talent.
Senator Pocock, whose debut term earned praise from a local tech sector, on Tuesday launched a new campaign policy platform that includes commitments on procurement, R&D investment and tech regulation.
“Australia can lead the world in responsible tech innovation,” Senator Pocock told InnovationAus.com.
