Global tectonic shifts in technology are impacting Australia’s systems of government, business, commerce and social interaction.
From AI-driven phishing programs to automated cyber interference in security, the changes are powerful and profound.
The Resilient Australia forum, hosted by InnovationAus.com, will engage government, academic, and industry leaders in a discussion that goes beyond the narrow technical confines of cybersecurity and into the big picture of these issues.
Hosted by Hamish Macdonald, ABC journalist and co-host of the Radio National programs Global Roaming and Take Me to Your Leader!, this exclusive forum will explore trust and technology – and strategies for building resilience into global social and economic systems.
Confirmed speakers include David Andrews, Senior Manager, Policy & Engagement, ANU National Security College whose research interests include Australian defence, foreign affairs and security policies; the strategies of small and middle powers; and instruments of security cooperation including ANZUS, the Quad, AUKUS, Five Eyes, and the Five Power Defence Arrangements.
Kersti Eesmaa, Cyber Leader, Former Estonian Ambassador to Australia will bring her expertise from a decades-long career within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia to the discussion.
Ms Eesmaa has represented her country at the UN delegation in Geneva and at the Permanent Representation of Estonia to the EU in Brussels, focusing on international trade during her time there.
The panel also features Rob Le Busque, Regional Vice-President, Asia Pacific for Verizon Business Group, a sought-after speaker on regional cyber security threats, digital transformation, and future digital economies.
Dr Lesley Seebeck, Co-founder and Co-CEO, Geomastery Advisory, CEO of Cyber21 and former Chair of the National Institute of Strategic Resilience will add her insights, which often focus on the business context and psychology for effective cyber security communications.
