Cloud and networking policies used to help secure the federal government’s vast IT estate will be consolidated as part of a new joined-up framework being developed by the Department of Home Affairs.
A gateway policy initially designed to support the transition to the now-scrapped Cyber Hubs program will be the first cab off the rank, transitioning to a gateway security standard under the Resilient Digital Infrastructure framework later this year.
It will be one of several Resilient Digital Infrastructure (RDI) standards, which will later extend to cloud computing, replacing the Secure Cloud Strategy that was last updated by the Digital Transformation Agency in 2021.
