More than 10 years ago, two friends took a leap and launched a business aiming to change the face of cybersecurity services.

Now, more than a decade later, that business has grown into a leading managed service provider that is trusted by more than 130 Australian businesses.

Kaine Mathrick Tech, founded by Bradley Kaine and Scott Mathrick, is a specialised provider in cybersecurity-first managed IT services for businesses of all shapes and sizes.

Its services provided to clients include monthly reporting, remote monitoring, network documentation and IT support, offered through an online portal, ongoing IT support and strategic guidance.

These are all shaped around a goal to change the face of managed IT services and put a human face onto cybersecurity protections, for the benefit of its clients and the wider Australian economy.

Central to this is its Secure Modern Workplace platform, which is based on zero-trust principles and supports the remote work capabilities that are so crucial in a post-Covid working world.

Kaine Mathrick Tech has worked with a range of clients to uplift their cybersecurity and improve the efficiency of their operations.

One of its clients, leading corporate psychology consultancy MCA, is now saving $8,400 per year and about $30,000 in server upgrades thanks to its transition to cloud platforms and improvements to its IT infrastructure facilitated by Kaine Mathrick Tech.

This was done through the implementation of the company’s Secure Modern Workplace, which also assisted MCA to reach the Australian Cyber Security Centre’s Essential Eight Maturity Level 2.

Kaine Mathrick Tech is a finalist in the InnovationAus 2024 Awards for Excellence in the Cybersecurity category. The InnovationAus Awards for Excellence winners and finalists will be celebrated at a black-tie gala dinner at The Venue Alexandria in Sydney on Wednesday October 30. You can book your tickets here.

Kaine Mathrick Tech has also worked with Sydney-based AFS Logistics, which was facing the common challenges of outdated legacy IT infrastructure and cybersecurity controls.

Using the Secure Modern Workforce, AFS Logistics was able to migrate its tech stack to the cloud, upgrade its cybersecurity and streamline IT processes. This assisted the company into having a modern IT infrastructure and achieving savings of more than $75,000 annually, along with improved mobility and a streamlined onboarding process.

Another client for the company is Challenge, a not-for-profit organisation supporting children living with cancer. Kaine Mathrick Tech helped to transform this organisation’s infrastructure, enhance its service delivery, cybersecurity and technological sustainability.

Based in Melbourne, the tech consultancy is aiming to reduce IT frustrations that are a day-to-day reality for so many businesses, and assist these companies in adapting to the ever-evolving tech needs and cybersecurity mitigation strategies that are so crucial.
