The tax office will pay Accenture $45 million a year to manage its enterprise operations, app development, infrastructure and DevOps, pushing the tech services giant’s total work for the agency past $2.5 billion over two decades.

Accenture’s latest contract with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) is worth $135.5 million over three years to provide the Enterprise Operations and Technical Enablement it went to market for back in 2022.

The new deal is part of a program to carve up the work from bigger contracts into smaller bundles through a strategic sourcing program that has seen some of the work go to local IT services firms.
