Curtin University will operate the Western Australian state government’s new GreenTech innovation hub, which is being funded by fossil fuels giants led by Chevron.

The hub operator was confirmed on Thursday, six months after the GreenTech hub was announced as part of a $40 million agreement between the state government and the Gorgon Joint Venture gas project.

The state government said Curtin had been chosen after a “highly competitive expression of interest process” and will receive $4 million over four years.
