Australia’s Defence accelerator has widened the pool of companies that will be eligible to apply for the first trilateral AUKUS innovation challenge just a week before it was scheduled to close.
The electronic warfare-focused challenge launched in Australia, the United States and United Kingdom in late March to find military technologies capable of giving the alliance a comparative advantage.
It is the first in a series of planned AUKUS Pillar II challenges agreed by the three nations, with Australia’s efforts being led by the Defence department’s Advanced Strategic Capabilities Accelerator.
