The Australian tech sector came to Canberra on Wednesday evening, with 34 software and hardware companies from across a broad spectrum of the economy setting up demonstration booths in the Mural Hall at Parliament House.
This was the Tech Council of Australia’s second Parliamentary Innovative Tech Showcase, and I would argue it is the best public-facing thing that the TCA does.
It could be improved only by inviting more companies to demonstrate their tech – let’s make them primarily Australian tech firms – and to put the showcase into the Great Hall as an even bigger exhibition space (which has the added advantage of being open to the public).
