Accenture gets $21m top-up for NSW govt ERP overhaul

Accenture will be paid a further $21 million for its work on the huge enterprise resource planning system consolidation taking place across the New South Wales government, as state Parliament scrutinises the heavy reliance on consultants in the wake of the PwC tax leaks scandal.

The Department of Communities and Justice recently topped up its systems integration contract with the global consulting giant, bringing its total value to $184.8 million over seven years. It is the first increase since the contract was signed in December 2021.

Accenture was drafted in to deliver the SAP platform that will initially serve 40 agencies from the soon-to-be-disbanded Stronger Communities, Planning, Regional NSW and Premier and Cabinet clusters in December 2021.
