InnovationAus.com is proud to announce three new experts who will join Budget Insider 2016’s brilliant line-up of panellists who will round up and dissect the innovation initiative expected from Treasurer Scott Morrison’s highly anticipated first Budget speech.
Jemma Xu is CEO and Co-Founder at Tripalocal, a Melbourne-based travel online platform that provides Chinese travellers with local experiences in Melbourne and Sydney. While the ex-investment banking analyst is one of the many who have set foot into the startup world, she is one of the few who has successfully set up a business in China.
Ms Xu emerged as a finalist at TechCrunch China in 2014 and will bring an indelible view and valuable insights into budget measures aimed at startup scene, as well as commentary on its Asia-focused trade initiatives.
Suzie Matthews, meanwhile, is Director for Small Business Engagement at NSW Office of the Small Business Commissioner. With more than a decade of experience working for government agencies, she will offer a state government perspective and provide expert commentary on policy updates and initiatives for the small and mid-sized businesses.
High-profile science writer and broadcaster – and Macquarie University PhD Candidate – Leigh Dayton will also join Budget Insider 2016. Ms Dayton’s passion is science, having written extensively about the subject for the last 25 years. She is currently researching and writing about innovation ecosystems. She will share her very particular views on innovation and how to create an innovative economy.
