$22bn clean energy and tech tax bill passes Parliament

A $1.5 billion tax incentive package for businesses to buy technology and train staff has cleared Parliament in the final sitting days of the financial year, but a delay means much less is likely to be claimed.

The legislation will also establish a 30 per cent tax break for videogame developers and advance the government’s clean energy commitment with $20.5 billion in capital for the government’s green bank to build infrastructure, cut household emissions, and fund research.
